Details
A knowlegable and wealthy owner ordered this boat to be built well above standard spec and it is believed that this is the best one ever built. Constructed under ABS suprervision, With watertight bulkheads fore and aft, additional tabbing where bulkheads meet the hull, full length stringers which the standard boat doesnt have the end result being surpassing ABS standards by 30% in all criteria and was certified ABS +A1. This boat is in lovely condition and has all the right equipment for long range cruising. These boats are a fast passagemaker and successive 300 nm days had been acheived with the origional owner. Previously based in the med it had crossed the atlantic and it was sued for six months of the year and stored under covers on the hard for the remianing six months. The present owners bought the boat there, recrossed the atlantic, then into the pacific and spent a leisurely year cruising to bring the boat home. As an indication of the high standard of maintenance this boat has enjoyed, the fastidious owners installed a new main engine and 240vac genset in 2013, and both now have only logged approximately 200 hours of operation. The boat is also equipped with a bow thruster, a full compliment of electronics, is cutter rigged with a self tacking staysail, all sail controls except the main halyard are led back to the cockpit, it has a hydraulic boom vang, boom brake, 12V autopilot plus wind vane self steering, fridge and freezer, stove with oven, king sized master bed, 2 heads. The full history is available. A long 63ft waterline provides fast comfortable sailing, this boat having recorded a maximum speed under sail of 24 knots. Underwater hull had previously had two coats of epoxy resin to prevent osmosis.
